Corporate Express passes on value of supply chain integrity to all stakeholders.

More and more companies are discovering the value of supply chain integrity in the marketplace as they evaluate their suppliers.

Grant Harrod, CEO of Corporate Express, believes companies value supply chain integrity as they need to be able to manage risk for the benefit of their stakeholders and their brand.

“We recognise we can add value by being a socially responsible partner and keeping the integrity of our supply chain. The paper we source is a good example. It’s used daily in offices around Australia, but how many people really think about its source? We did and we are proud to be working with Australian Paper knowing they produce products of the highest quality and social environmental credentials,” Harrod said.

Corporate Express moved its paper supply from an offshore source to supplier Australian Paper who upholds the same ethical standards.

Simon Talbot, Corporate Relationship Manager at Australian Paper, said all Australian Paper products are produced from renewable sources and can be recycled.

“Most importers don’t have the same societal standards in manufacturing as we do, nor do they have the same environmental credentials and we deliver a modern ecologically sustainable product and provide jobs for Australians,” Talbot said.

“Certainly, the synergies of working with Corporate Express mean we have an ethical supply chain that provides high quality Australian products.

“We’re proud to be working with a well regarded partner that has very high environmental credentials,” he said.

RepuTex listed Corporate Express as an ‘A-rated’ company in its 2005 Social Responsibility Investment (SRI) Index. Corporate Express is also listed among the 44 socially-responsible companies in Australia on the Socially Responsible Rating Index.
