Water is fast becoming a scarce commodity, and one of the biggest users of water is the humble urinal, which can use up to 120,000litres of fresh water every day –between 10 and 30 per cent of your company’s water consumption.

“If you try and reduce the water supply to urinals, you’ll probably end up with higher maintenance costs, smelly urinals and unhappy staff,” says Michael Turner, National Procurement Manager, Facilities.
“To combat the smell, you’d have to install sanitisers and deodorisers, and then apply powerful cleaners to get rid of the build up of uric sludge in the pipework. “But by using the EXP Kleen Bio-Block range, you can save around 95 per cent of the water you’d normally use, without any additional plumbing expense,” he says.
“The EXP Kleen Bio-Block System uses millions of friendly bacteria specially selected to target uric salt deposits. These bacteria reside in a small gently-fragranced Block which is placed in the urinal; the bacteria soften the uric salt deposits, which are washed away when the urinal is cleaned.
“The Blocks, together with a companion biological spray solution used by cleaners, means the urinal stays fresh and clean, and deposits are prevented from returning. In fact, you’ll have healthier plumbing because your pipe-work is kept free of uric salts and scale deposits, which means fewer blockages and therefore no need for regular deep cleaning.
